Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Forest Distribution Division. By accessing our website, purchasing our products, or making use of our services, you agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases, orders, deliveries, returns, refunds, and services provided by Forest Distribution Division through our website, https://deforest.co.za/.

We encourage all customers to read these terms carefully before placing an order.

1. General Terms

Forest Distribution Division specialises in the supply and distribution of motorcycle parts, performance products, accessories, and related equipment.

By using our website, you confirm that:

  • You agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

  • The information you provide during checkout is accurate and complete.

  • You are authorised to use the selected payment method.

  • You understand that product availability, specifications, and pricing may change.

Forest Distribution Division reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions when necessary. Any changes will be published on our website.

2. Products & Availability

We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, images, pricing, and specifications.

However, please note:

  • Product images may be for illustrative purposes.

  • Colours, packaging, and specifications may vary slightly depending on the manufacturer.

  • All products are subject to availability.

  • Certain products may need to be specially ordered from suppliers.

  • We reserve the right to correct pricing or product information errors before accepting an order.

If a purchased product is unavailable, our team will contact you to discuss an alternative, an estimated availability date, or a refund.

3. Orders & Payments

All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance and product availability.

  • Orders will be processed once payment has been confirmed.

  • Full payment is required for standard online purchases unless otherwise agreed.

  • Orders cannot be dispatched until payment has been received.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring that delivery and contact information is accurate.

Special & Custom Orders

For customised products or special orders requiring design, preparation, or manufacturing:

  • A 60% deposit may be required before work begins.

  • Production will commence once the deposit and any necessary approvals have been received.

  • The remaining 40% must be paid before the order is dispatched.

  • Any additional charges or special payment arrangements will be communicated before the order is confirmed.

4. Pricing

All prices displayed on the website are in South African Rand (ZAR).

  • Prices may change without prior notice.

  • Applicable taxes and delivery charges will be communicated during checkout.

  • Promotional offers are subject to their stated terms and availability.

  • Forest Distribution Division reserves the right to correct genuine pricing errors.

An order will not be cancelled solely because of a pricing error without the customer being informed and offered an appropriate resolution.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Forest Distribution Division aims to process and dispatch orders as efficiently as possible.

Delivery times may vary depending on product availability, delivery location, courier services, and supplier lead times.

Please note:

  • Delivery charges will be displayed or communicated before an order is finalised.

  • Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed.

  • Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address.

  • Special-order products may require additional processing time.

  • Customers should inspect their orders upon delivery and report any damage, shortages, or incorrect items as soon as reasonably possible.

Where an order cannot be fulfilled within the agreed timeframe, customers will be informed and their applicable cancellation and refund rights will be respected.

6. Product Compatibility & Fitment

Customers are responsible for checking that the products ordered are suitable for their motorcycle's make, model, year, and specifications.

We recommend confirming compatibility before placing an order.

  • Product descriptions and fitment information are provided to assist customers.

  • Motorcycle modifications may affect product compatibility.

  • Customers should verify part numbers and specifications before purchasing.

  • Where uncertain, customers are encouraged to contact our team for assistance.

Forest Distribution Division cannot guarantee compatibility based solely on a VIN, model lookup, or third-party identification tool.

Nothing in this section limits customers' statutory rights where incorrect product information or recommendations have been provided.

7. Returns & Exchanges

Forest Distribution Division offers a 30-day returns policy for eligible products, subject to the conditions below.

Return Eligibility

  • Products should be unused and in their original condition.

  • Original packaging should be retained wherever possible.

  • Proof of purchase or an order number must be provided.

  • Products must be returned securely packaged to prevent damage during transportation.

  • Specially ordered or customised items may be excluded from discretionary change-of-mind returns.

Return restrictions do not apply where consumers are legally entitled to return defective, unsafe, incorrect, or unsuitable goods.

Returning a Product

Customers wishing to return an item should contact our customer service team within 30 days of receiving the order.

Please provide:

  • Your order number.

  • The product you wish to return.

  • The reason for the return.

  • Photographs where relevant.

Our team will review the request and provide instructions for returning the product.

8. Refunds

Refunds will be processed after the returned item has been received and assessed, where inspection is appropriate.

  • Customers will be notified once their return has been reviewed.

  • Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.

  • Please allow approximately 7–14 business days for the refund to reflect, subject to payment provider processing times.

  • A reasonable handling fee of 3–5% may apply to discretionary change-of-mind returns where lawful and agreed.

  • No handling fee will be charged where prohibited by law or where a statutory refund remedy applies.

Refunds required under applicable consumer protection legislation will be processed within the legally prescribed timeframes.

9. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact Forest Distribution Division as soon as reasonably possible.

Our team will assist with assessing the issue and arranging an appropriate resolution.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, this may include:

  • Repairing the product.

  • Replacing the product.

  • Issuing a refund.

Under South African consumer protection legislation, qualifying defective, unsafe, or substandard goods may be returned within six months of delivery, with the consumer entitled to the applicable statutory remedy.

Forest Distribution Division will cover reasonable return costs where required by law.

10. Custom Orders & Artwork Approval

Certain special orders may require artwork, design specifications, or written approval before production.

For these orders:

  • Customers must review all supplied artwork and product specifications carefully.

  • Approval may be given via email, WhatsApp, or another agreed written communication method.

  • Production will only begin once the necessary approval has been received.

  • Changes requested after production has commenced may result in additional charges or delays.

  • If artwork approval has not been received within 20 days of payment, the customer may request cancellation or a refund, subject to applicable law and any reasonable, previously agreed costs.

A service fee of up to 20% may apply only where legally permissible, properly disclosed, and supported by reasonable costs incurred.

Custom-order conditions do not remove statutory rights relating to defective or incorrectly supplied goods.

11. Return Shipping Costs

Return delivery costs depend on the reason for the return.

  • For discretionary change-of-mind returns, customers may be responsible for return courier charges.

  • For defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied products, Forest Distribution Division will cover applicable return costs as required by law.

  • Customers should use suitable packaging and a reliable courier service.

  • Original shipping charges may be non-refundable for discretionary returns, subject to applicable consumer rights.

12. Order Cancellations

Customers wishing to cancel an order should contact Forest Distribution Division as soon as possible.

  • Orders that have not yet been dispatched may be eligible for cancellation.

  • Orders already dispatched may need to follow the returns procedure.

  • Special orders already in production may be subject to reasonable cancellation charges where legally permitted.

  • Any statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights will remain applicable.

Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act provides a cooling-off right, eligible online purchases may be cancelled within seven days after receipt without penalty, apart from the permitted direct cost of returning goods.

13. Workshop & Related Services

Where workshop services are provided or arranged through Forest Distribution Division or an associated service provider:

  • Customers will be informed of the scope of work and applicable charges.

  • Additional work requiring extra charges will be discussed before proceeding.

  • Service completion times may depend on parts availability and the nature of the work.

  • Customers must disclose relevant motorcycle modifications or existing mechanical issues.

  • Workmanship and replacement parts remain subject to applicable statutory warranties and consumer rights.

Services performed by a separate workshop business may also be subject to that service provider's own terms, which should be communicated to the customer.

14. Manufacturer Warranties

Certain products may include warranties supplied by the manufacturer.

Warranty conditions, duration, and coverage may differ between products and brands.

Customers should retain their proof of purchase and follow any applicable manufacturer care, installation, and maintenance guidelines.

Manufacturer warranty terms do not replace or limit any rights provided by South African consumer protection legislation.

15. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content displayed on the Forest Distribution Division website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and website design elements, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless authorised, users may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use website content without permission from the relevant rights holder.

Users agree not to misuse the website or attempt to interfere with its operation or security.

16. Limitation of Liability

Forest Distribution Division aims to provide accurate information, reliable products, and professional customer service.

To the extent permitted by law, the company will not be responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including certain courier delays, supplier disruptions, or unauthorised product modifications.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights and remedies.

17. Privacy & Personal Information

Forest Distribution Division respects the privacy of its customers and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.

Customer information may be collected and processed for purposes including:

  • Processing purchases and payments.

  • Arranging deliveries.
